Atlas Consulting is led by John Sigmon. John is an engineer with 15+ years of professional experience across several sectors before transitioning to software and engineering. As an engineer he started in machine learning and transitioned to data engineering and devops. He has worked as a cloud architect on high profile public sector projects, working with clients to define business outcomes and tie them to technical features while overseeing design and development. He has worked as an engineer in startups, mid size companies, and with public sector and enterprise clients.

Prior to transitioning to software, John started in healthcare, working in medical billing for mental health clinics. As a young adult with too much energy, he decided to leave office work and worked as a bartender in Washington DC while learning to fix cars and building a full time auto repair business. After getting his fill of both, he returned to school to start over in 2015.
